The first few years of your child’s life is a time of magic and wonder. We understand the importance of these years, and dedicate ourselves to making this time positive and productive. Our nursery policies are dictated by this philosophy, and designed for your child’s optimal learning and growth. My Sunflowers Day Nursery regularly review and updates policies and procedures ensuring they are up to date while keeping the child's welfare, happiness and development at the centre of them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What are the opening hours for My Sunflowers Day Nursery?
A: Our nursery is open Monday to Friday 7:30am until 6pm. We are closed bank holidays and between Christmas and New year period.
Q: What sessions do you offer?
A: We offer the following sessions a full day 7:30am to 6:00pm, a school day 8:45am to 3:45pm, a morning session 8:00am to 1:00pm and an afternoon session 1:00pm to 6:00pm. 
Q: Do you accept nursery voucher schemes?
A: We currently accept Edenred vouchers along with Care4 vouchers and computershare. If you have another company who provides your vouchers please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate these.
Q: Do you offer funded sessions from the government?
A: We currently offer the funded sessions for 2, 3 and 4 year old children. We also accept Tax free childcare payments and payments through tax credits. More information can be found here for funding eligibility, tax free childcare and other schemes available.
Q: What do we need to bring?
A: You supply your own nappies, wipes and skin care cream. In warmer weather we also ask for you to provide sun cream. We would also ask if you could please provide a change of clothes with your child's name clearly labelled. 
We can administer your child’s prescribed medication provided you give us written authorisation. Please bring relevant medication and clear written instructions for dosage and timings for our staff to review.
Q: What is the notice period?
A: Notice period for a child’s place is 1 months written. To change the days of attendance you also have to give 1 months notice to decrease. In the event of increasing hours we will aim to accommodate as soon as possible but will work to a 1 month period of time maximum where spaces are available. When you sign your admission form you are signing subject to our terms and conditions.
Q: Are your staff properly trained?
A: All staff are working towards their N.V.Q level 3 or above. They all have current and up to date CRB checks, paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene trained.
My Sunflowers Day Nursery has a rigorous staff selection and training policy. We also have a very low turnover of staff, which means we can offer consistency of care for your child.
